Effective Home Remedies For Yeast Infections

Yeast infections occur due to overgrowth of a yeast-like fungus Candida albicans. The infection mostly occurs in the virginal and private areas but can also occur on any part of the body such as beneath skin bends, lower abdomen or even under the breasts. Use of Coconut Oil: – It also has components that easily kill the fungus responsible for yeast infections. Coconut oil is applied externally to the affected area at least three times a day. It’s one of the most effective of the home remedies for yeast infections.

Yoghurt: – Some “friendly” bacteria contained in yoghurt are also very effective in controlling the growth and eventually elimination of the fungus responsible for this condition. Only plain unsweetened yoghurt is used for a treatment of yeast infection. Plain yoghurt should be applied externally on the affected skin. The yoghurt is let to remain in the affected area for an hour or even overnight as it eases itching. The process is repeated until the condition is cured. Also, it’s beneficial to include yoghurt in the diet as it also helps in controlling the fungus.

Olive Leaf extract: – It also has anti-fungal properties the effectively treat yeast infections. Olive tree leaves should be crushed in a jar. Alcohol is then added, and the mixture left for a few days. The extract is then applied on the affected area at regular intervals such as thrice a day.

Apple Cider vinegar: – It has been proved effective for yeast infections. A hot bath with some vinegar added is one of the application methods. Affected areas are then washed thoroughly. Also, it can also be swallowed as capsules or even at least two tablespoonfuls a day.

These home remedies for yeast infections are no doubt effective and at the comfort of your home. Most of these methods are also cheap and readily available.
