A wart is a skin condition that is caused by the Human Papilloma Virus, better known as HPV. Most people like to treat the condition fast because the marks on the skin can affect self-image. There are several commercial wart removal methods but they have their shortcomings. For example, the chemicals used to make the products may burn the skin and cause incessant pain. Natural wart removal methods offer reliable alternative treatment for warts. Here are a few ways you can tackle warts without compromising on the health of your skin.
1. Wait for Warts to Disappear
For warts to appear, the skin must break to allow the entry of the virus. If you wait, the warts will eventually disappear, even if it takes two years. According to doctors, you just need to avoid picking on the growth. This method of natural wart removal works best if combined with other topical treatments.
2. Rub Banana Peels
Most victims may not want to wait for the condition to disappear. One of the best ways to remove the benign tumors is rubbing banana peels. The iron and potassium found in banana peels is very effective in wart removal. Bananas also contain a component called pectin, which dries warts by removing moisture from them. Cut a piece of a banana peel and use it to cover the affected area. The fleshy side of the peel should cover the wart. Use a fresh banana peel every night and see if the condition will subside. If there is no change after 3 weeks, you may want to try a different method.
3. Apply Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is as effective for wart treatment as it is for other bacterial and viral attacks. This product is acidic in nature so it has a high success rate in natural wart removal. Apply apple cider vinegar on the affected area using cotton wool before you sleep. You may secure the cotton wool and allow it to cover the warts overnight. Repeat this procedure every evening until the growths disappear. If they do not, you still have other natural wart treatment methods to try.
4. Cover the Warts with Duct Tape
The duct tape is also effective in the removal of warts. Experts believe that the tape method succeeds because it prompts the immune system of the body to counter the warts. Cut a piece of the tape and use it to cover the wart. Leave it on the skin for about 1 week and then remove it. To remove the duct tape, dip it in warm water for 2 minutes, and then scrub it off using a pumice stone. If the wart is still on the skin, repeat this process using a new duct tape.
5. Oral treatment
If the treatments on the skin do not work, you may try oral natural wart removal remedies. An example of such treatment is Calendula tea. Drinking Echinacea tea may also remove, or at least reduce the wart problem.
Different natural wart removal remedies work for different people. Therefore, if you do not succeed with one remedy, try another one. In case the condition becomes worse, contact your doctor. After you have succeeded in removing warts, it is advisable to prevent the occurrence of the problem in future.
